At the AKOTA Spring Conference Research Symposium, UAA/Creighton University OTD students will be presenting poster presentations on a variety of research topics. Throughout the three year program, students are required to engage in a scholarly process of research which contributes to the body of knowledge in occupational therapy. This year's research symposium hopes to encourage our OTD students in the process of scholarly collaboration with practitioners. Our OTD students seek to engage in research that is applicable and beneficial to practitioners. The students and staff of the UAA/CU OTD program hope to begin a new tradition in which student research is informed by the needs of occupational therapy practitioners within the state of Alaska. Attendees to the research symposium event will have the opportunity to view student poster presentations, discuss the work with student researchers, and suggest research topics for future OTD cohorts. We welcome your collaboration in our inaugural AKOTA student research symposium.
