The Student Representative is appointed by the AKOTA Board of Directors and is a 1-year term with no more than 2-consecutive terms.  The Student Representative provides a mechanism for representing their peers, a mechanism for the expression of student concerns, and offers a means whereby the student can have effective input into AKOTA affairs. The Role of the AKOTA Student Representative is to be a liaison between AKOTA and all students of occupational therapy in the State of Alaska, relay information between the students and the (AKOTA) Association to create more student involvement in AKOTA.
